Thousands of Students of IPB were Confirmed as the Board of Organization
Thousands of the students of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) incorporated in 106 student organizations in the period of 2017 in IPB followed the event of “Pengukuhan Organisasi Mahasiswa IPB / Inauguration of Student Organizations of IPB”. This inaugural procession was directly led by the Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, on Monday (16/1) night, in Graha Widya Wisuda (GWW), Campus of IPB Darmaga, Bogor.
The Rector said that all student organizations of IPB had a mandate to be executed, implemented the commitment to work enduring with the full responsibility and should be implemented in earnest way. “My message, all student organization committees of IPB should set the intention and work fairly and transparently. Preparing the activities in the planned and well organized as well as prioritized the achievement of the progress of IPB,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs of IPB, Prof. Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono, delivered that the inaugural of the student organizations in IPB was to align all student activities in IPB. He explained, for the period of 2017 there were 106 managements of the student organizations in IPB, consisting of Majelis Permusyawaratan Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa / Student Consultative Assembly of Student Family (MPM of KM); Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa / Student Representative Council of Student Family (DPM of KM); Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Keluarga Mahasiswa / Student Executive Board of Student Family (BEM of KM); 13 Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Fakultas / Representative Council of Faculty Student (DPMF), DPM Diploma and DPM Program Pendidikan Kompetensi Umum / General Competency of Education Program (PPKU); 13 BEM Faculties, Schools and BEM Diploma, BEM PPKU; 45 Profession Associations, and 35 Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa / Student Activity Unit (UKM).
Prof. Yonny said that the student organizations of IPB should be encouraged to become the student organizations which were healthy, active, transparent, accountable, and full of achievement. Therefore, the guidance system of the student organizations of IPB, for the management of the student organizations of IPB, should be confirmed by the Rector of IPB.
Being presented in this occasion among others the Director of Student Affairs of IPB, the deans and the vice deans in IPB, the Director of Diploma Program, the Director of PPKU of IPB and the Chairmen of Departments in IPB. (awl)
