Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with Trans 7 held a show "Black White Goes to Campus", Thursday (19/11). The talk show presented by Deddy Corbuzier was broadcast live from the Graduation Building ‘Graha Widya Wisuda’ (GWW), Dramaga campus, Bogor.
Enlivened by hundreds of IPB students, this event invited Wahyudin ‘an Achieving Scavenger ‘ as a guest star. Wahyu is a university graduate who has financed his own education beginning from elementary school (SD) to tertiary education with the income from scavenging. He is currently completing his S2 or Master degree in the business and administration program at a university in Indonesia. Now he is optimistic he can continue their studies abroad for S3 or doctoral degree.
During his college studies, he is also active in social activities, helping the surrounding communities by teaching how to run business. "I teach them economic theories such as capital, surplus and saving so that business can run well," he said.
Wahyudin admits that his motivation to study is to be a person who is beneficial to others. "The best of people is the one who is beneficial to others. Thus, in order that I can help a lot of people, I should have knowledge and treasures," he explained.
"In the Quran, it is also mentioned that everyone can be rich or poor, noble or not. Everyone can be a noble man, please choose to be rich and noble or poor and noble. I choose to be rich and noble," added Wahyu telling about his motivation.
Apart from Wahyu, this event also presented an actor and businessman Baim Wong who shares his experience as an entrepreneur. Baim emphasized the importance of passion in business. "When doing business, do not just rely on what people say. Know what we want, do not follow others, do not rush. Collect capital first, when we already know what we want, then move forward," said Baim when asked by a student about business management. (Mtd)
