Dozens of IPB Researchers Followed Training on Writing the International Publications

Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with University of Adelaide, Australia organized the training on “Developing Skills for Publishing Internationally in the Natural and Social Sciences”, in Senate Meeting Room, Rectorate Building, Andi Hakim Nasoetion, Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor, Friday (21/8). The training which was attended by about 80 researchers and academics in the environment of IPB was opened by Vice Rector of Research and Cooperation of IPB, Prof.Dr. Anas Miftah Fauzi.  
 
In his speech, Prof. Anas said, currently IPB experienced a good increase in terms of the scientific publication, i.e. about 54 percents.  Not only that, IPB also ranked the first version of Webometric in terms of the number of scientific publications, and it ranked the third of the scientific papers indexed Scopus. Therefore, IPB had received an award from the ministry in terms of increasing the publication. 
 
Meanwhile, the resource person from School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, University of Adelaide, South Australia, Dr. Margaret Cargill in her first speech said that she felt challenged as a resource person in the training which participants were researchers of IPB. Dr. Margaret Cargill in this training brought the materials of which were Applied Linguistics Theory of English for Research Publication Purposes (ERPP), Context, Interaction, Text (genre) and Language (linguistics).
 
Other resource persons who filled this training were Dr. Kate Cademan, from School of Social Science, University of Adelaide, South Australia; Prof. Sudarsono, from Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture of IPB; and Dr. Dodik Ridho Nurrocmat, from Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry of IPB.
