Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) of Al-Hurriyyah, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), again held "Hajj and Umrah Training 2015", on Friday (1/5) in the Meeting Room 1 of Mosque Al-Hurriyyah Dramaga Campus of IPB. Training with the theme "Journey Series of Hajj and Umrah" presented Iman Anugerah Bintoro, ST, M.Si, alumni of Hajj and Umrah Training, DKM Al-Hurriyyah.
It is said, if the pilgrims are well prepared mentally and physically, the next preparation is to ensure and pack the items and equipment taken to the holy land. These include suitcase, handbags, passport bags, Ihram cloth, prayer mats, water sprayer, umbrellas, sunglasses, and toiletries. Apart from these, there must also include clothing, sweaters, Hajj belts, mukena, sarong, shirt, socks, pants, sandals, medicines, beads, flashlights, bags, washing and drying tools, tableware, uniform, cap, committee logo, and dry foods.
Next, the pilgrims should attend a series of activities in the Hajj Embarkation Dormitory. While in dormitories, they are given medical re-examination, living cost allowance for 33 days, identity bracelet, announcements and briefing from the committee, and finally the practice of Hajj rituals.
"In the dorm, you should use the time to rest because the next 24 hours you are going to fly to the holy land. Similarly, when it is in the air you should take complete rest because the trip takes about 10 hours," said Iman Anugerah Bintoro, ST, M.Sc.
Upon arrival on the Holy Land, pilgrims are expected to control and improve emotion because they will face many difficult situations that require long patience. For example, there are differences in the climate and air temperature, customs, food, and they will mingle with others having different characters and habits, get bored of waiting, queuing and crowding, may suddenly become ill or low health condition, and share facilities.
