Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Learned to Manage Business in IPB

In order to improve the quality of higher education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) carried out the visit to Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The visit was held for two days (20-21/4) with the headline of “Business Benchmarking Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to Bogor Agricultural University”. This activity was the visit a second time which was conducted by UTM to IPB.
 
The event was opened with the speech by Director of Strategic Studies and Agricultural Policy (KSKP) IPB, Dr Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat. He conveyed that this visit was the follow-up of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which had been done by UTM with IPB some time ago. The visit of this UTM was welcomed by Vice Rector of Resources and Strategic Studies, Prof.Dr Hermanto Siregar, and Vice Rector of Infrastructure and Business, Dr. Arif Imam Suroso.
 
The visit of UTM this time specifically was intended for the comparative study of the business management done by IPB in supporting the course of education. UTM itself was one of the universities with high ratings in Asia. “Therefore, hopefully we can learn from each other. UTM can learn how to manage existing business in IPB, and IPB can learn about the management of campus internationalization,” Dr. Dodik hoped.
 
On this occasion, it was implemented the presentation and discussion on business management in IPB with the theme of discussion of “Lesson Learned, IPB Role in Developing Business: Creating Opportunity and Empowering Community”. The presentation was done by the representatives of business entities and study centers in IPB. The representatives who were attented the meeting, among others, were from Director of PT. Bogor Life Science and Technology (PT. BLST), Dr. Meika Syahbana Rusli, Director of Hutan Pendidikan Gunung Walat, Dr. Nandi Kosmaryandi, and Head of Center of Biopharmaca (PSB) of Institute for Research and Community Services (LPPM) IPB, Dr. Irmanida Batubara.
