Seven Corrections of LPPM in 2014
LPPM IPB held the Workshop on Cooperation Activities of Research and Community Service (PPM) of IPB with the theme of “Akselerasi Diseminasi Hasil-hasil Penelitian IPB / Acceleration of Dissemination of Research Results of IPB”, 20/11. Head of LPPM IPB, Dr. Prastowo, conveyed that there was a significant increase related to the cooperation of IPB with government or private in the field of research and community service. “In the year of 2013, the cooperation activities of LPPM IPB are of 58 activities. In the year of 2014 it increases to be 94 activities, “ he explained.
Further the Head of LPMM IPB confirmed, “This cooperation activity can increase the result of output, better outcome and impact, so that they can look forward to a better chance, and push the researcher, and the research centers can be better in making use of momentum of this cooperation. We develop the Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC).” LPPM IPB determined, the research cooperation should have the firm commitment and should be transparent, everything had to be accounted for in an ordely manner with a clear and maximum mechanism, so that there were no losers in the implementation of the activities. There were seven actions of correction done by LPPM IPB in the year of 2014 namely: the legal aspect; the coordination with department and faculty; the accountability/financial administration; the quality assurance function; providing initial funding; the stabilization procedure; and the increase of output, outcome and impact.
Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, said, “Orientation for research and community service done must be relevant with the interests of the people. Do not let IPB into the ivory tower. IPB must continue to plunge into the field to meet directly with the community, must understand well the pulse of the problems in the society. Thus it will get the distinctive and important themes to be solved and resolved.” (awl)
