Recognition and Mentoring Program (RAMP) IPB held the National Seminar of Social- technopreneurship 2014. The event was held in the Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasoetion (18/8). Director of RAMP IPB, Dr. Ir. Aji Hermawan, MM, conveyed the Seminar Social-technopreneurship aimed to socialize the success experience of the social-technopreneurs of Indonesia in order to be the model of the movement of social–technopreneurship of Indonesia. Besides, showing the result of the attempts had been done of some social-technopreneurs of Indonesia.

Dr. Aji Hermawan explained, the technology solution and the business development were very much needed to answer the issues of poor community and unemployment in Indonesia. Besides that the development of technopreneurship was needed to make use optimally the very rich natural resources of Indonesia. The development of technology which was much done by the research institutions and universities at the moment, still had not been optimum to give the solution of the problems in our community.

The event that was opened by the Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono, presented the speakers of Jeffrey Hall (Unicef), Didik Hadjar Goenadi (PT. Riset Perkebunan Nusantara), Oktavina Qurrota Ayun (Kopernik) and Dr. Nurul Taufiqurohman (LIPI). In the seminar, it was also done the launching of Global Design for UNICEF Challenge,  the cooperation of Unicef with RAMP–IPB and Directorate of Student Affairs.

This seminar was the beginning part of the Training of Intensive Student Technopreneurship Program 2014 (I-STEP 2014) held by RAMP-IPB in CICO Resort, Bogor for two weeks, 18-30 August 2014.

The training of I-STEP 2014 was the increase program of technopreneurship ability of student for the selected students having the innovative ideas of various universities in Indonesia. This training aimed to increase the ability of student in providing the solution of innovative technology to complete the problem in the community. In addition, it was also to increase the skill of technopreneurship of student in creating the value in the community, and to increase the ability of student who was ready to compete in various programs of technology incubation of the prototyping program and the step up of the program of RAMP-IPB.
