Delegation of Government of Bangladesh Visited IPB

Delegation of Government of Bangladesh visited Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). The group was officially accepted by Director of Strategic Study and Agricultural Policy of IPB, Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, MSc in Session Room of Rector, Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor, Wednesday (19/3). Dr. Ir. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, MSc in his speech expressed the appreciation on the visit of the delegation of Bangladesh to IPB. In that occasion, Dr. Dodik explained, IPB was the biggest campus of agriculture in Indonesia. Related to the food security which was the goal of the team of Bangladesh, Dr. Dodik conveyed his expectation that hopefully the explanation from IPB could provide satisfaction to each of the two sides. 

 

In thef visit, IPB and team of Bangladesh mutually discussed and shared information related to the development and difference of agriculture of the two countries. The visit of the delegation from the government of Bangladesh was accompanied by Humanitarian Forum for Indonesia (HFI). The representative of Humanitarian Forum for Indonesia, Surya Rahman Muhamad, conveyed his expectation that hopefully the colleagues from Bangladesh could learn the agriculture from Indonesia. 

 

Related to the food security Prof. Dwi Andreas Santosa, Chaiman of Study Program of Soil Science and Environmental Biotechnology, Graduate School of IPB, conveyed the explanation about ‘Training and Exposure Visit on Regional Food Security Program in Indonesia’. Beside to IPB, the delegation of Bangladesh would also visit Ministry of Agriculture RI.(dh)
