Observation Study Tour (OST) of Posdaya Bukit Tinggi dan Padang Panjang at Sukawening Village, Dramaga

Sub-district Head (Camat) Dramaga, Mr. Arom Rusnandar, with dozens of pre-school children of Madrasah Diniyah welcomed participants of the Observation Study Tour (OST) Posdaya of Bukit Tinggi and Padang Panjang, West Sumatra, on Thursday, 11 October 2012, in Sukawening village. One of those students, then slung scarves on OST Posdaya group leader, who is the wife of the Mayor of Bukit Tinggi. Other item of the program then the group had guided tour to visit Posyandu activities, Posbindu, rabbits breeding, and social meeting at the local Madrasah. Finally, the group spent their time to buy souvenirs at the souvenir shop at products of Posdaya Lingkar Kampus  activities such as bandrek, nutmeg syrup, cassava chips, salted egg, fried baby fish, jambu kristal, and also recycled accessories.
 
Before the guided tour, the  group of OST was welcomed by the Deputy Head of Institute of Community Service IPB Dr Prastowo, the Secretary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) IPB Dr. drh. Trioso, and researchers of Human Resource Development Center (P2SDM) of LPPM IPB, Ir. Yanefri Bachtiar M.Si, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dramaga Campus. Dr Prastowo invited the group to exemplified the community development program developed by IPB, especially the villages around the campus. The integrated activity which involved or collaboration of existing units at IPB, both by faculty members and students, for community development based on their own potentiality.
 
The statement was similar with the those stated by the Head sub-district of Dramaga Mr. Rusnandar Arom, "We are very happy to have you at our village. Take the better examples from us, kindly inform us whenever you find unappropriate things, we will do our best to fix it, "said Arom the village chief, who was accompanied by Sukawening village chief, Husen, and Chairman of the Tunas Harapan Posdaya, Andi. (Wied).
