Halal Bi Halal and Alumni Gathering of Aquaculture Class of 25

Around 40 alumni of the Department of Aquaculture of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) were back together after more than 20 years they did not meet. The alumni came directly from East Java, Lampung, Sulawesi, even those who were studying in the Philippines were present in Halal Bi Halal and Alumni Gathering which were held in Landhuis Building, Campus of IPB Darmaga (2/9).

As the originator of the event, M. Rahmat Mulianda, M.Mar, the alumni of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science IPB, which currently served as the Head of Division of Industrial Organization and Competition Bappenas said that this program was held to find out the current conditions from friends of the Department of Aquaculture class of 25.

“Usually if we hold the alumni gathering we join with the faculty or IPB, and just now which is truly special for the Department of Aquaculture class of 25 amounting around 65 people. The unique thing is that when invited for this event we should trace the whereabouts of friends through facebook or twitter. Alhamdulillah around 40 alumni can be present in here,” he said.

The alumni gathering which was also used as the event of halal bi halal also invited some lecturers from the Department of Aquaculture, one of them was Prof.Dr.Ir. Komar Sumantadinata. In order that the communication and the gathering were more tightly formed, this opportunity was utilized for initiating some programs like scholarship or fundraiser for colleagues who were sick or affected by calamity, he explained.(zul)
