In relation with the scientific matter, Nurul really hoped to the future that Indonesia had the management system of genetic resources of seasonal vegetable plants in Indonesia. “I really wish that Indonesia has the germ plasma bank like other countries. Indonesia is rich with the genetic resources, like eggplant, chili, squash/gourd, and so on. But, I am afraid that the germ plasma which is original from Indonesia is still there or has been extinct and it is replaced by hybrid varieties, so it is homogenous. Besides that, I wish that the science that I obtain from IPB will support my profession as the breeder, i.e. to develop the superior vegetable seed which is environmental friendly with the focus on the resistance toward the organism of plant intruder which aims at the equilibrium of ecosystem, and to develop the variety which can really adapt to the specific location in Indonesia, “she explained. According to her, by making use of the original genetic resource of Indonesia, the national culture medium would be in progress.
