The IPB University Faculty of Animal Science Alumni Association (Hanter) has officially established a strategic collaboration with the IPB University Waqf and Social Fund Unit (UWDS) through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) related to the management of Sharia Mutual Fund Waqf Scholarships.

The signing ceremony took place amid the festivities of the IPB Alumni Homecoming Celebration (PRA IPK) 2025 in Bogor on Saturday (12/20). This collaboration is projected to be a milestone in strengthening productive waqf funds to ensure the sustainability of educational assistance for students, especially within the Faculty of Animal Science.

Under this collaboration framework, HANTER will focus on mobilizing support and raising funds through its extensive alumni network. Meanwhile, UWDS IPB University will act as the professional and transparent fund manager, prioritizing Sharia principles.

In the future, the collected waqf funds will be invested through sharia mutual funds. The proceeds from the investment will then be channeled entirely to finance student scholarships.

The Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof Dr Idat Galih Permana, believes that this collaborative effort will not only strengthen the relationship between alumni and their alma mater, but also serve as a model for sustainable education funding.

“By utilizing waqf as a productive social instrument, IPB University is striving to create a financial assistance ecosystem that does not depend on conventional sources of funding,” he said.

Alumni and the general public who wish to contribute to the Sharia Mutual Fund Waqf Scholarship program can make donations through: Account Number: Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) 8005001126 in the name of WAKAF IPB

Conditions: Add the unique code 40 at the end of the transfer amount (Example: IDR 100.040). (IAAS/RWA)
