IPB University Enters World’s Top 33 Green Campuses According to UIGM WUR 2025
IPB University maintains its position as a green campus according to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking (UIGM WUR) 2025. Globally, IPB University is ranked among the top 33 out of 1.745 campuses in 105 countries.
In this year’s ranking, IPB University achieved a total score of 8.950 out of a maximum of 10.000 points. The official announcement of the UIGM WUR 2025 national level was held on Tuesday, (12/16) at Diponegoro University, Semarang. Based on these results, IPB University ranks 5th among the most sustainable universities at the national level.
IPB University has participated in (UIGM WUR) since 2010. The UIGM WUR ranking system evaluates universities’ commitment to sustainability in six main aspects, including Setting Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, and Education and Research.
In 2025, IPB University recorded improvements in three main indicators. The Climate Change indicator increased from 1.550 to 1.625 points. The Waste indicator rose by 150 points to 1.725 points, while the Water indicator increased by 37,5 points to 987,5 points compared to the previous year. These improvements reflect IPB University’s consistency in strengthening campus environmental management policies and practices.
IPB University Rector Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet emphasized that this achievement is part of the institution’s long-term commitment.
“With these results, IPB University demonstrates its commitment to continuously maintaining and enhancing environmental sustainability in the development of a green campus.
