IPB University held a Refreshment Training for employees who are about to enter retirement. This program, which is a regular agenda of the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM), is designed to provide comprehensive training so that employees are financially, physically, and mentally prepared to enter the post-retirement phase of their lives.

IPB University HR Director Dr Heti Mulyati explained that this program is a follow-up to the last Retirement Training held in 2020 during the pandemic, which was conducted online.

“Five years ago, we provided training for prospective retirees. This year, we invited them back to refresh and remind them of the important things they need to prepare for retirement,” she said during the event held at the Samida Building, Bogor Botanical Gardens, on (11/18).

She added that this year there are 117 employees entering retirement, consisting of 43 lecturers and 74 educational staff. They are retiring due to the Retirement Age Limit (101 people), early retirement (7 people), and 9 employees who passed away this year.

“We want you not to be surprised and to be able to manage your retirement income wisely,” she explained.

Furthermore, participants received three main materials. First, financial management. Second, physical and mental health materials that emphasize the importance of being prepared to face changes in the rhythm of life after retirement. Finally, a motivational session equipped participants with new strategies and perspectives in undergoing the transition to retirement.

She hopes this training will serve as practical preparation for IPB University employees in planning their new lives after retirement. “IPB highly values the dedication of its employees. Through this training, we want to ensure that your retirement remains productive, healthy, and meaningful,” she concluded.
