LPH IPB University Receives Accreditation with ‘Main’ Qualification from BPJPH
IPB University has now obtained accreditation as a Halal Inspection Agency (LPH) with the Main Qualification from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Republic of Indonesia. LPH IPB University is located at the IPB Baranangsiang Campus, Bogor. The accreditation certificate was issued on October 9, 2025, with a validity period of four years until October 9, 2029.
The Rector of IPB University, Prof Arif Satria, expressed gratitude for the issuance of this accreditation. “IPB has always been a reference place for testing various food and biopharmaceutical products. With this accreditation, IPB University affirms its commitment to assist the government in strengthening the halal assurance system in Indonesia,” he added.
The scope of this accreditation includes examination/testing areas, starting from verification/validation; product inspection, slaughterhouses/animal slaughter units; as well as laboratory testing of products (food, beverages, medicines, cosmetics, chemical products, utilities, slaughtering services, processing services, and packaging services). The area of work covers both national and international levels with a total of 12 halal auditors.
The Halal Inspection Agency of IPB University is under the Integrated Laboratory and Leading Research Unit (ULTRU). This unit serves as a center for developing excellence in science and technology through productive activities in the fields of testing services, calibration, maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, research, training, facilitation, and as a trusted reference.
