Survey Proves Five Reasons Why IPB University is the Dream Campus
Every student has their own reasons when choosing their dream campus. From a survey of 7.730 new students of the 62nd batch, five main reasons were revealed as to why IPB University became their campus of choice.
The status of IPB University as a reputable public university (PTN) is the strongest reason (51%). The national and international reputation of IPB University is one of its main attractions. IPB University’s world ranking has indeed continued to rise in recent years.
In the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2026, IPB University managed to break into the Top 400 in the world by reaching position 399, up from rank 426 in 2025.
In the field of Agriculture and Forestry, IPB University is even ranked 49th in the world and is in the Top 10 in Asia, an achievement that affirms IPB University’s excellence as a tropical agriculture education institution.
Other contributing factors are the diverse study program choices (17%), strategic campus location (10%), IPB’s achievements (9%), post-graduation job prospects (7%), and others (6%).
The location of IPB University’s campus in Dramaga, Bogor, which is close to Jakarta, also adds value. This strategic position provides broader access for students to connect with research centers, industries, and job opportunities.
The prospects for IPB University graduates are also an important consideration. Alumni of IPB University have proven to contribute to various strategic sectors, ranging from food, environment, agribusiness, to innovation-based entrepreneurship.
