Dr Dadan Hindayana Receives Bintang Mahaputra Utama Award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia
Another proud achievement was made by the academic community of IPB University. Dr Dadan Hindayana, Chairman of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and lecturer at the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, received the Bintang Mahaputra Utama award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
The award was presented directly by the President at a state ceremony at the State Palace for Dr Dadan Hindayana’s outstanding services in the field of public health and nutrition through strategic policies at the National Nutrition Agency, the development of maternal and child health programs, and the food diversification movement.
In his work, Dr Dadan Hindayana is known as an academic, researcher, and bureaucrat who has a high commitment to the development of science, especially in the field of plant protection, as well as efforts to improve the nutritional quality of the Indonesian people.
His work at the National Nutrition Agency is also an important milestone in formulating strategic policies to reduce stunting, strengthen food security, and improve the quality of the nation’s health.
Chairmam of the Department of Plant Protection at IPB University, Dr Ali Nurmansyah, expressed his pride at this achievement.
“The awarding of Bintang Mahaputra Utama to Dr Dadan Hindayana is clear evidence that the contribution of IPB University lecturers not only has an impact in the academic scope, but is also widely felt by the community and the country. This is an inspiration for all of us to continue to contribute to Indonesia,” he said.
Bintang Mahaputra Utama is one of the country’s highest honors given to citizens who have made extraordinary contributions in various fields for the progress of the nation. With the receipt of this award, Dr Dadan Hindayana adds to the row of national figures born from the campus of IPB University, as well as strengthening the role of IPB University in producing the best people for Indonesia.
