IPB University Launches Scholarship Program for Children of Lecturers and Educational Staff
IPB University has launched the IPB Talent Scholarship (BTI) program, which is intended for the children of lecturers and educational staff who are currently studying at IPB University. The program was officially announced through the IPB Talent Scholarship Circular Letter for Employees on Wednesday (7/3).
IPB University Rector Prof Arif Satria stated that this program is a form of appreciation and an effort to improve the welfare of IPB employees. This scholarship is an extension of the Educational Cost Assistance (BBP) program for elementary, middle, and high school levels, which was launched in 2023.
“IPB University continues to strive to provide the greatest possible benefits for the nation’s intellectual development. Now we are beginning to provide educational cost assistance for the children of employees studying at IPB University,” said Prof Arif.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Resilience of Resources and Infrastructure at IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, explained that recipients of the BTI are children of faculty members and staff who are civil servants (ASN), permanent IPB employees, or IPB employees with employment contracts. The scholarship will be effective starting from the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
The scholarship is awarded based on the single tuition fee (UKT) and is intended for students from the first to the eighth semester, subject to certain conditions. These include having a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.,75, not currently receiving scholarships from other sources, and applying each semester.
The scholarship amounts are as follows:
- For a maximum UKT value of Rp1,000,000, a 100% scholarship of the UKT is provided;
- For a UKT value above Rp1,000,000 to Rp2,500,000, a 75% scholarship of the UKT is provided;
- UKT value above IDR 2,500,000 – IDR 5,000,000 receives a 60% scholarship of the UKT;
- UKT value above IDR 5,000,000 – IDR 8,000,000 receives a 40% scholarship of the UKT;
- UKT value above Rp8,000,000 is eligible for a 25% scholarship of the UKT.
Dr Alim stated that scholarship disbursement is processed through a reimbursement system and will be directly transferred to the employee’s payroll account. Registration for the BTI program is open until Friday, August 1, 2025.
