Taking Action for a Better Earth: IPB University KKNT Team and Pangandaran Residents Create Go Green Festival 2024

IPB University Innovation Real-Thematic Work Lecture (KKNT) Team in collaboration with Sekolah Alam Pangandaran held Go Green Festival 2024 in Cimerak Village, Pangandaran, West Java. The Go Green Festival 2024 event was themed Pangandaran ASRI (Action, Education, and Sustainability). This activity aims to increase the awareness of the surrounding community regarding the importance of protecting the environment.

The IPB University student team had the opportunity to provide socialization related to the making of ecoenzymes from organic waste. The target of this ecoenzyme socialization is housewives and farmers in Cimerak Village.

Angga Boy Lamus, KKNT Innovation student, explained that ecoenzyme is a multifunctional liquid, one of which can be used as organic fertilizer. He admitted that making ecoenzyme is quite easy because the raw materials used are organic waste that is easily found.

“One of the problems experienced by the community is the limited availability of fertilizers. Therefore, we decided to conduct socialization related to the manufacture of ecoenzymes that can later be used as organic fertilizer by farmers. Since the production of ecoenzyme is very easy, it can be done by farmers on a home scale,” said Angga.

He continued, the presence of ecoenzyme is expected to be an alternative fertilizer for agriculture in Cimerak Village. Thus, the community’s agricultural efforts are of higher quality because they use organic fertilizers. (*/ra/Rz) (IAAS/PRO)
