IPB Student Wins the Nutrifood Leadership Award
Student of the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB) won the Nutrifood Leadership Award (NLA). Arga Putra Panatagama, a student from the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) won the first winner, late last year.
Arga was chosen to be 20 finalists from thousands of participants and participated in quarantine camp leadership. All finalists have various background achievements and organizations and have a high potential for leadership. They attended a leadership workshop by Impact Factory, Inspiring Talk by a number of organizational leaders’ role models and personality assessments.
The Inspiring Talk session was attended by Handry Satriago (CEO of GE Indonesia who is also an alumni of IPB), Mardi WU (CEO of Nutrifood), Ricky Setiawan (CEO Impact Factory), Fanny Evrita (Co-Founder of Thisable Beauty Care), Panji Azis Pratama (Founder Isbanban Foundation), Vania Santoso (Co-Founder of Hey Startic! Ecopreneurship), Ivanaldy Kabul (Founder of Fish Youth Center), and Diovo Alfath (Executive Director of Sandya Institute).
Arga did not experience significant obstacles during the selection process until the training quarantine. “I didn’t expect to win first place, because I also felt that my friends were a lot more appropriate than me. Here I get a lot of knowledge, such as the importance of fellow team collaboration and ‘cutting decyle’. Through NLA, my outlook on life has changed for the better, “said Arga.
Arga is also the 2nd winner of Most Outstanding Student in 2018. Arga has also served as Chair of the 2018 Computer Science Student Association (Himalkom). Under his leadership, Himalkom won many achievements to become the Rank 1 Outstanding Student Association in IPB. He also often actively participated in conferences and won various competitions.Arga hopes that the learning he can get while attending NLA can be applied in his daily life. (Jhn)
