Not Only Superior in Academic, Students of IPB Won the Second Place of the Futsal Competition

Student Association of Civil and Environmental Engineering (Himatesil), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), successfully won the second title in the national level futsal competition. This competition was special for the students from Jabodetabek from the department or the civil engineering department. This competition was held in Pancasila University, Jakarta (30/3).

This victory was intended to show that the students of IPB were not only good in the academics  but also in non-academic materials.

“We want to show that the students of IPB are not only superior in academic, but also non-academic. We can prove it by becoming the second winner”, said Fadhel Febrian Ghafar, one of the players of the futsal team of Himatesil.

This victory was the first non-academic achievement achieved by Himatesil. Previously, they failed to win in a similar competition held in the Univesity of Indonesia (UI).

In the future, Fadhel hoped that the non-academic achievements of the students of IPB especially Himatesil could be more prominent and balanced with the academic achievements that had always been achieved by the students of IPB.

“Actually, in addition, there is a learning community (academic), in Himatesil there is also a community for sports. The goal is that in the future non-academic achievement can stand out and balance with the academic achievement,” he said.(Ath/Zul)
