Fortendik IPB University Prepares ASN Competence for Functional Position in Industrial Age 4.0
College machines cannot be separated from education staff (Tendik), because of their role as a central device in the current era of uncertainty is so fast, full of complexity, and full of ambiguity. This was conveyed by the Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria in the opening of the Workshop and National Seminar on Functional Position with the theme "Strategies for Increasing Professionalism and Competence of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Functional Position in Industrial Age 4.0", on 25-26 July 2019 in the Building Jannes Humuntal Hutasoit Auditorium, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University.
Dr. Arif welcomed the activity held by the IPB University Education Personnel Forum (Fortendik) which was attended by students in universities and local governments from all over Indonesia. "This is a very good momentum and our efforts to change existing mindset and skills. We need to change the existing mindset, we have changed personally, but these changes have not been reflected in institutional changes. Institutional changes include changes in the rules of the game, ways of working and everything changes following the direction of change outside of being fast and speed-oriented and future. At present, our condition is in a stagnant position, where the inability to escape from the past and inability to face the future (inability to get out of the past and the inability to face the future), said the Rector of IPB University.
The Rector of IPB University hopes that in this new era all parties can collaborate that is strong and able to adapt to the future. "We will be able to work and control technology in the future, pro to the future and pro to change," he said.
The Chairperson of the Seminar Committee as well as the Chair of Fortendik IPB University, Sofyan, SSi, MSi in his speech stated that the purpose of this activity was to increase knowledge and understanding of the direction of agency leadership policies to improve the quality of the State Civil Apparatus in functional positions. "In addition, it provides an overview of the leadership strategy to increase ASN professionalism and competence in functional positions in era 4.0, as a place to exchange ideas and share experiences in the national scope. Also, facilitating ASN in functional positions to deliver research results or innovative works in the form of scientific papers to support ASN career advancement in the form of proceedings," Sofyan explained.
The event was moderated by Human Resources Director of IPB University, Dr. Ir. Titik Sumarti, MC, MS presented the Director of Career and Human Resources Competence, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti RI), Prof. Dr. Bunyamin Maftuh, MPd, MA, Director of State Civil Apparatus Position, Republic of Indonesia National Civil Service Agency (BPN RI), Aidu Tauhid, SE, MSi, Head of the National Library Librarian Development Center of the Republic of Indonesia, Dra Opong Sumiati, MS. The program was attended by 372 students from various types of functional positions, both Educational Laboratory Staff (PLP), Archivists, Staff Analysts, Librarians, Public Relations Institutions, Computer Institutions, Nutritionists, Lecturers, Health Institutions, and General Functional Positions.
