The Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Faculty of Economics and Management in collaboration with Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Tbk held a seminar entitled "Entrepreneurship for Millennials Property Seminar." In his remarks, the Chancellor of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria, said that now IPB is continuing to prepare itself to become a Techno-Sociopreneur University. In the process, of course there are many things that must be done, not enough to just develop student skills, but also skills that are very important for the future of our students.
"Jack Ma also said that entrepreneurship in the future is no longer a war between big capital owners, but future entrepreneurship is imagination and creativity based competition. The signs to get there are clearly visible with the emergence of new start-ups. Therefore, I feel that the entrepreneurship topic that is now being appointed is very warm and relevant for our students to go to Techno-Sociopreneur University, "said the Rector of IPB.
Meanwhile, according to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of IPB Dr. Ir. Nunung Nuryartono, M.Si, Indonesia's position is currently ranked third among Asian Oceania countries in their interest in entrepreneurship. "We are well aware, that the future of the world of Indonesian entrepreneurship is on optimism from the younger generation. However, often the obstacle for millennials is financing. We, at the Faculty of Economics and Management, require entrepreneurial courses. We hope that the collaboration between us and Bank BTN will provide a solution to the problems faced by our students, "he said.
In the Keynote Speech session, President Director of Bank BTN, Maryono, S.E, MM conveyed the urgency of the property business in the future. There are several things that are the key to success in starting the property business for the millennial generation, namely willingness, initiative, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
"Business opportunities in the property sector are very large, we project that in the next 15 years Indonesia will need 11.4 million housing units. We need to balance that much demand with sufficient supply. However, this supply of supply is a challenge for all of us. Of the 11.4 million there are still some who have not been able to even know the ways to buy a house. We as providers of this service offer to the millennial generation to be a breaker of all these obstacles with all the creativity of the millennial generation. BTN is ready to facilitate with the BTN Housing Finance Center for prospective millennial generation business people, "he said.
The event then continued with material related to the millennial property business by Deddy Indrasetiawan, which tells how the millennial generation can start a property business without the need to confuse capital. The strength of young people is in creativity. "We can start by promoting other people's products, that's where I started getting capital to start this business," he said.
Meanwhile, President and Co-Founder of Bukalapak, Muhammad Fajrin Rasyid also participated in delivering material related to the essence of entrepreneurship for the millennial generation. "Lately, the world of entrepreneurship has started to hype among us. But don't let the hype situation eliminate the essence of entrepreneurship to spread usefulness to others, "he said. (AVR)
