Dozens of Young Lecturers of IPB Joined the Photography Training
Photo was an important element in a publication or document as the evidence of the implementation of an activity. To produce a quality image or picture, it was required good knowledge and skill on photography. Therefore, Directorate of Human Resources, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held “Pelatihan Fotografi untuk Dosen Muda / Photography Training for Young Lecturers”. The opening ceremony was held in Mulya Hotel, Gumati Village, Bogor, Monday (16/10). The training would last for four days followed by 35 participants.
Head of Human Resource Development Section of IPB, Hirra Nurlaeni, SP, MM, delivered this training in support of the publication, and the media in learning. Therefore, it was necessary the knowledge and the technical skill documenting the object of research using the rules of photography which were good and correct, so that the research result could be published well to the relevant parties.
In this training, the Directorate of Human Resources of IPB was in cooperation with Inova Pusat Pelatihan Fotografi dan Digital Imaging Bandung.
Through this training, the participants were expected to have the ability and the skill to aim the research object properly and correctly so as to produce maximum picture. Other than that, the participants were expected to understand more deeply about the photography for research and learning; to be able to increase the participants’ knowledge and skills in the photographic techniques; and to understand the photography applications for the research and learning purposes and activities.
One of the young lecturers who became the participant from the Department of Economics of Resources and Environment, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB, Bahroin, expressed his motivation to participate in the photography training in addition to since the lectures he really liked the world of photography, currently as a lecturer it was related to the tourism economics. “Photo becomes an object to describe the conditions in the field, helping in learning to be informative when delivering to students,” he said.
Other participant, Rita, Lecturer of Faculty of Forestry, expressed her participation in this training activity. According to her, the photography for research was very important, how to get the desired focus so the images could be communicative result. “Quality result. One of the absolute needs for the lecturers,” she added.(dh)
