Lively “Saya Indonesia, Saya Pancasila” in the Ceremony of 1 June in IPB
Memorial Ceremony of Pancasila Birthday of 1 June in Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) was directly headed by Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of IPB, Prof.Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono. The birthday commemoration of Pancasila reinforced our commitment to be deeper, lived and practiced the noble values of Pancasila as the basis of the community, the nation and the state. The ceremony held in the Field of Rectorate Ceremony of Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor carrying the theme of “Saya Indonesia, Saya Pancasila / I am Indonesian, I am Pancasila”.
As the Elder Member of the Ceremony, Prof. Yonny read the mandate of the decree of President RI No. 24 on 2016 about Pancasila’s Birthday. The President was calling for and inviting all nations to shoulder to reach the ideals of the nation in accordance with Pancasila. There was no other choices, all the children of the nation should unite the heart, the mind and the energy for the unity and the brotherhood. Once again, kept the peace, kept the unity, and kept the brotherhood among us. “Let’s be polite, mutual respect, mutual tolerance, mutual help for the benefit of the nation,” said the President in his written speech.
The government’s commitment for strengthening Pancasila had been clear and very strong. We continued to do the various efforts. It had been enacted the Presidential Regulation No. 54 in 2017 about the Presidential Work Unit of the Ideology Development of Pancasila. Together with all components of the nation, the new institution was tasked to strengthen the practice of Pancasila in everyday life, which was integrated with the development programs. The poverty alleviation, the distribution of welfare and various other programs, become an integral part of the practice of Pancasila values.
“Therefore, I invite the active role of the scholars, the ustad, the priests, the clergymen, the monks, the pedanda, the community leaders, the educators, the art and cultural actors, the media players, the bureaucracy, TNI and Polri, and all components of the community to maintain Pancasila. The understanding and the practice of Pancasila in the community, the nation and the state should continue to be improved. The religious lectures, the educational materials, the news focus and the debates in the social media should be part of the deepening and the practice of Pancasila values,” said the President.
Nevertheless, we should also be wary of all forms of the understanding and the movement which was not in line with Pancasila. The government should act firmly against the organizations and the movements which were in contra Pancasila, in contra UUD 1945, in contra NKRl, in contra Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The government should act firmly if there were still understanding and movement of the communism which had been clearly banned in the Indonesian earth.
Once again, kept the peace, kept the unity, and kept the brotherhood among us. Let’s be polite, mutual respect, mutual tolerance, and help each other for the benefit of the nation. Let’s go hand in hand, work together for the sake of the progress.
