Studium Generale of Career Debriefing for Pre-Graduation of IPB Students
Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (DPKHA) of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB Bogor Agricultural University) held a "Studium Generale debriefing Career Pre-Graduation" organized career debriefing for candidates of IPB graduates in the Auditorium Andi Hakim Nasution, IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor, on 16 January 2017. For the present career debriefing the DPKHA invited Ahmad Yunianto of Biru Peduli Foundation and Chairu Fariandini the owner Rumah Que Que.
The Director of DPKHA of IPB, Dr. Syarifah Iis Aisyah, stated that we unable to prevent the entry of foreign workers especially from ASEAN into Indonesia. However, she said, one method to prevent foreign workers to work in Indonesia are by improving our professionalism and our competiveness by improving our achievements, such as improving English proficeincies, and both hard and soft skills.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Yunianto, in his presentation he stated that the communities, especially farmers have been waiting for them to apply the knowledge they learned at IPB. "Science must be practiced and grounded. IPB graduates should be able to help farmers to increase their agricultural products, "he said.
He added that based on his experience, IPB mostly produce highly competent graduates. "The average alumni with a bachelor's degree has about important position in many different jobs," he added.
Further, Mr. Ahmad Yunianto, also reviewed on the leadership. According to him, leadership is a mindset to serve. Additionally, it they should be very adaptive, so they will adjust easily to any post to be provided for them.
