Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN – the Joint Selection and Entrance to State Universities) for 2016 will officially be opened on Monday, 25 April 2016. This was stated by the Chairman of the Ketua Panitia Lokal (Panlok – Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee) 33, Prof. Dr. Yonny Koesmaryono, in the press conference at the Campus IPB Baranangsiang, Bogor, on 21 April 2016. The press conference was also attended by Public Relation of Panlok 33, Dr. Fadjar Satrija, as well as representatives of Partners Bank of SBMPTN, namely Bank BNI and Bank Mandiri. entrance examination (Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri)
 
Online application for SBMPTN admission will be started on 25 April 2016,  and will be closed on  20 May 2016. Whereas the result of entrance examination for Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN – the National Selection of State Universities) will be announced on 10 May 2016.
 
"Thus, there will be about ten days for students who do not pass  SBMPTN entrance examination to apply for the SNMPTN. There are 78 Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN – State Universities (PTN) joined the SNMPTN admission system. The admission fee of Rp. 200 thousand could be paid through Bank Mandiri and BNI, "he said.
 
Panlok 33 is divided into several sub-panlok, namely Bogor, Bekasi, Sukabumi, Cirebon and Karawang. This year Panlok Bogor will increase its quotas to anticipate the increased demand of prospective students to apply for university admission. 
 
"We expect the prospective students to apply for SBMPTN will increase due to  several factors. First, the decreased of applicants to apply for SNMPTN around 10 percent. There are two kinds of tests that are used to determine the admission of students, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Paper Based Testing (PBT). No differences in its simulation systems, but one of which will run on  computer.
 
Throughout Indonesia, only 2,500 seats will be competed using CBT, whereas the other will be using PBT test. Only  80 CBT will be accessible through Panlok 33, he added.
