ROV Competition 2016: Independence of Maritime Technology

Acoustics and Marine Instrumentation (AIK), Department of Marine Science and Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (ITK of FPIK), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) held a contest of Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle (ROV) Competition (15/1). The competition activity took place in Swimming Pool Tirta Kencana, Babakan Lio, Darmaga, Bogor.

 

A total of 10 groups of the students ITK followed this annual competition. Every ROV should be able to do three things which became the major assessment in the competition, namely setting the buoyancy, maneuver and taking a picture of an object under water.

 

This activity was a series of the course of Marine Instrumentation. The group with the name of ROV Neutral successfully satisfied the judges and became the first prize in the competition this year. ROV with the name of R10 carried off the award for the best design***
