Islamic Youth Congress 2015

 

Student Activity Unit (UKM), Agency of Student Islamic Chaplaincy (BKIM), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) organized the activity of Islamic Youth Congress (KPI) 2015 with the theme of “Satukan Langkah Menuju Peradaban Gemilang / Bring Steps Toward a Bright Civilization”. The Congress followed by most of the students was held on Sunday (4/10), located at Grha Widya Wisuda (GWW), Campus of IPB Dramaga, Bogor.

 

The activity of KPI 2015 was opened with a speech by Elder Member of UKM BKIM of IPB, Ustad Iin Solihin. “Our gathering today is not because of the world, not because of the material but because of the similarity of vision as Muslims. As the elder member, we say welcome to the attendees, I hope this activity can produce a generation who fights Islam,” said Ustad Iin Solihin to the participants who attended.

 

According to Chairman of UKM BKIM of IPB, Ilham Satyabudi, this activity was held as a form of concern because of the many problems faced by Indonesian nation. Departing from this concern, BKIM wanted to discuss the root of problems of the nation and its solutions. “And the most important is the role of the students to help solve these problems,” he added.

 

The series of the events of KPI 2015 was filled with the activities of dokusinema, oration and youth dialogue with the resource persons of the alumni of  BKIM of IPB namely Asep Supriatna, Felix Siauw and Agung Wisnu W. While the attendees of these events were mostly the students from the Campuses in Greater Jakarta and Bandung, like Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Unas Jakarta, Universitas Padjajaran, Unikom Bandung, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Ibnu Khaldum, and students of IPB.
