IPB Divers Participated in Succeeding the Jamboree of FopMI
Students of Department of Marine Science and Technology (ITK), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Aflaha Abdul Munib (ITK 49) and Siti Khairina (ITK 48) who were the representatives of Fisheries Diving Club (FDC)-IPB participated in Jamboree VI of Forum of Student Divers of Indonesia (FopMI) in 23-27 April 2015 in Lampung. Diving club, Anemon (University of Lampung), collaborated with Polinela Diving Club (State Polytechnic of Lampung), and FoPMI organized the Jamboree VI of FoPMI in the Province of Lampung. The Jamboree this time was included with the second congress after the first two years of the previous congress held in Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta.
The Jamboree this time was intended as the venue for gathering, sharing the fellow divers of Indonesia, discussions on work programs and organizational structure to be run, and fun diving together. The fun diving was conducted in Sabesi Island and the chili lagoon was in Rakata Island. Moreover, the Jamboree VI participants were given the opportunity to feel the sensation of diving and climbing in Mount Anak Krakatau area.
“Following the Jamboree VI this time, we want to look for new experiences and new friends. Besides, the special experience can set foot in the Nature Reserve of Krakatau Islands,” said Siti Khairina.***
