Agrianita of IPB was Ready for Launching the Service Center of Family Welfare
Agrianita IPB held Pre Launching the Service Center of Family Welfare (PPKS) of Elderly Residents (Wulan), Thursday (26/3) in Guest House of Campus of IPB Dramaga Bogor. Through the program to be launched in the next 21 April 2015, it would serve the harmonius family counseling with a “life cycle” approach from the toddlers to the elderly.
Chairman of Agrianita of IPB, Enny H Suhardiyanto, SE, explained, PPKS was the container activity or a series of activity to provide the family services through the provision of Communication, Information and Education (KIE), counseling, guidance and facilitation toward the qualified family. IPB, she added, was the first university in Indonesia to build PPKS.
Previously, Prof.Dr. Clara M. Kusharto as Chairman of the Committee, said, PPKS was established in an effort to improve the service to the community in the provision of information, consultation, and references relating to issues of child development, coaching teenagers, the quality of life of elderly and elderly empowerment, and the family planning services in a holistic and integrative.
Similar statements were delivered by Head of Women Empowerment and Family Planning (BPPKB) of Bogor District, Ir Siti Nurianty, MM who said, this PPKS aimed to improve the ability of the family in exercising the family function optimally to be more independent. “Through this activitiy, the families will be able to nuruture and develop the family members in positive activities, who are in the family,” she explained.
Pre-Launching Activity of this PPKS presented two resource persons, i.e. Drs. Riza Syahrial, MM (Head of Sub Directorate of Monitoring & Evaluating of Bina Hanlan & Rentan of National Population and Family Planning-BKKBN) and Heni Nur’aeni, SH (Vice Chairman II of Aisyiyah Regional Chairman of West Java). Attending this opportunity, including Sub-district Head of Dramaga, Paguyuban Pensiunan IPB, doctors of health center, midwives, 17 Village Heads and Lurah from around the campus, movers of PKK of villages around campus, lectures, and staff of IPB.
