The Visit of JABEE from Japan to the Departemen of Teknik Mesin and Biosistem of Fateta IPB
Departemen Teknik Mesin dan Biosistem (TMB – Department of Mechanical Engineering and Biosystems) Fateta of IPB, organized the welcome reception for the site visit of JABEE assessors, held at the Andi Hakim Nasution Building, Campus Dramaga, Bogor, on 2 December 2014. The host of the reception for the visitation of the Accreditation International Group was Rector of IPB.
In term of world of education, we are in the era of the global market. In the era of globalization, the Asian community should follow and be aligned with the international professional standards in order to achieve high quality results which is competitive with developed countries. Not surprisingly, we must improve the quality of our education, which should be competitive with other countries.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc, Rector of IPB stated, "We welcome the visit of JABEE Team to IPB, especially to the Department of TMB, of Fateta. This activity will be a pilot project and will immediately be followed up. The accreditation by the International Accreditation, is expected to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, particularly for IPB. In the near future our educational program will be competitive with those implemented by developed countries such as America, Japan, and Europe, "said Rector.
The Executive Managing Director of JABEE, Dr. Yasuyuki Aoshima said, "This visit is really extraordinary event, which has also created the new history for the country of Japan (JABEE). As it is our first collaboration program with other parties outside Japan in terms of the International Accreditation Visitation. I hope the JABEE visit will affect the increase of the quality standards of education in this country, which will be recognized and competitive with other developed countries. With the success of the international accreditation in the countries of Asia and especially Indonesia, the graduates from Indonesia especially from IPB will automatically be internationally recognized, and have competitive quality. They are recognized internationally as they have passed the international professional standards as applied in other developed countries. "
