Sacrificial animal, God’s creature which should be treated well and properly. If the implementation of sacrificing ignored the animal’s rights, certainly it would reduce the reward of the person who sacrificed, even it could be cancelled. This was delivered by the Teaching Staff of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Dr.drh.Hadri Latif, in the Dialogue in the Radio of Republic of Indonesia (RRI), Thursday (10/10), in Bogor. To minimalize the matter, IPB fielded the health monitoring team of the sacrificial animal consisting of the students and the teaching staff.

According to Dr.Hadri, the sacrificial animal was more primarily which was male and should meet the elements of health and age. “Goat or sheep is at least one year old and its milk teeth has changed. While the minimum age of cow is two years old,“ he said.

Dr. Hadri Latif added, the sacrificial animal should not be slammed, should not be skinned before dying completely and should use the sharp knife.

This was echoed by KH. Tatang Ahmad Dani who became the speaker representing Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) of Bogor City. KH. Tatang Ahmad Dani asserted, if the person who sacrificed ignored the norms he could not get a blessing.
