RECTOR OF IPB INAUGURATED 4 VICE RECTORS FOR THE PERIOD OF 2013-2018
Rector of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto, MSc, inaugurated four Vice Rectors for the periof of 2013 -2018. The inaugural event was held in the Lobby of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, (30/5). The fourth officials who were inaugurated were the officials in the period of 2008-2012 which today they were inaugurated back for the period of 2013-2018.
The officials who were inaugurated were the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Yonny Koesmaryono, MS; the Vice Rector for Resources and Development, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermanto Siregar, M.Ec; the Vice Rector for Research and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Ir. Anas Miftah Fauzi, M.Eng, and the Vice Rector for Business and Communication, Dr. Ir. Arif Imam Soeroso, MSc.
Before confirming and inaugurating these four Vice Rectors, the Rector proposed 8 candidates of Vice Rectors to the Board of Trustees (MWA) of IPB. From the 8 candidates of Vice Rector proposed, 4 among them were the officials in the earlier period, while the other 4 came from the Dean and Director of the incumbent. The selection was based on the track record of the eight candidates having excellent performance and in accordance with any task field position of Vice Rector. The inauguration of Vice Rector this time was based on the provision of MWA IPB Number 126/MWA-IPB/2013.
Moreover the Rector mentioned that the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs had the authority to coordinate various programs in strengthening the educational system and the development of student affairs to produce the competent, intelligent and competitive graduates. Prof. Yonny was requested by the Rector to direct the Directorate of Educational Administration, the Directorate of Academic Program Development and the Directorate of Student Affairs. It covered the improvement of the management of graduation and the procedure of diploma administration and so on.
Moreover it was entrusted to the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs to be able to integrate the admission process of multi strata new students in the task and function of the Directorate of Educational Administration. Designing the system and procedure that guaranteed the completion of study on the right on time, developing the curriculum and learning which guaranteed the graduates of IPB which were relevant to the need of community with the instrument of the Framework of National Qualification of Indonesia (KKNI).
But to the Vice Rector for Resources and Development, Prof. Hermanto Siregar, the Rector conveyed to carry the mandate to coordinate various managements of Human Resources and the strategic studies to formulate concepts and ideas of IPB as the contribution in the formulation process of agricultural policy.
Moreover to the Vice Rector for Research and Collaboration, Prof. Anas Miftah Fauzi, was given the mandate to coordinate various programs in the development of research and innovation, the development of graduate career which was relevant to the agriculture, the strengthening of alumni relationship, the management of collaboration and international program. Besides that, Prof. Anas was requested to focus the restructuring of central institutional, the enhancement of international publication, and to conduct the innovative research, the enhancement of patent and its commercialization.
To the Vice Rector for Business and Communication, he was entrusted to coordinate various programs related to the development of facilities/infrastructures, the data integration and the management conducted by IPB. (dh)
