The Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innopreneurship Acceleration (LPA2I) at IPB University attended a discussion on the Dramaga Community Economic Empowerment Program (PEU) and the Purwasari Zakat Village, held in Purwasari Village, Dramaga Subdistrict, Bogor Regency.

This event served as a forum for discussion and coordination to address the development of community economic empowerment programs through the strengthening of local potential, the development of productive businesses, and the utilization of the zakat program as an instrument to support the economic self-reliance of the community.

“The participation of LPA2I IPB University is part of an effort to foster synergy between universities and the community in developing sustainable empowerment programs,” said LPA2I IPB University Secretary Danang Aria Nugroho, SE, MSi, some time ago.

Through LPA2I IPB University’s role, he continued, the potential for knowledge, innovation, and guidance is expected to support the development of community economic activities.

The discussion also served as an opportunity to align ideas and identify opportunities for collaboration in implementing the PEU program and developing the Purwasari Zakat Village. This collaboration is expected to foster productive economic activities that align with community needs and the potential of the local area.

According to Danang, the PEU program is not only focused on providing aid but also on building community capacity so that people can develop businesses, improve their skills, and gradually strengthen their economic independence.

Through this discussion, it is hoped that better coordination will be established among the relevant parties so that the PEU programs in Dramaga and Kampung Zakat Purwasari can be implemented in a focused and targeted manner, delivering tangible benefits to the community.

The involvement of LPA2I IPB University is expected to strengthen collaboration in connecting community potential with innovation and mentoring, so that the economic empowerment of the community can develop into a sustainable program that has a positive impact on the welfare of the community in Purwasari Village and its surroundings.
