IPB University, through CEO School 2026, held a practice based learning activity, commonly known as a field study, at the Science and Technology Park (STP) IPB, Taman Kencana Campus.

This opportunity served as a valuable bridge of knowledge, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of STP IPB University in supporting research downstreaming, fostering technology based entrepreneurship, and facilitating the startup incubation process, all of which are essential parts of strengthening the national innovation ecosystem.

Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, MSi, Assistant for Business Incubation at the Institute for Agromaritime Development and Innovation Acceleration of IPB University, explained that innovation can be developed into a sustainable business model when supported by the right ecosystem.

“I hope participants will not only understand the theory of business development, but also be able to see challenges as opportunities. I also hope they will gain the knowledge and preparation needed to develop businesses amid today’s highly dynamic market changes,” Deva said during the session.

In addition, participants were introduced directly to the innovation based business development process, from the idea generation stage and incubation to product commercialization. Through direct interaction with business owners, participants gained practical insights into business management, marketing strategies, product development, as well as the importance of adaptation and collaboration in building competitive businesses.

This field study is expected to broaden participants’ knowledge and perspectives on entrepreneurship and innovation, while also motivating them to develop businesses that not only generate economic benefits but also create social impact for society.

Through this valuable learning experience at STP IPB University, participants of CEO School 2026 are expected to become future leaders and young entrepreneurs who are innovative, adaptive, and competitive. (*/Rz) (IAAS/PRP)
