IPB University, together with the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), held the handover of the 2026 Kemaslahatan Program in the form of the completion of the construction of the Al-Amin Waqf Mosque located in Cihideung Ilir Village, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, Wednesday (4/15).

The construction of this mosque is the result of multi-stakeholder collaboration, including support from BPKH’s kemaslahatan funds, Islamic financial institutions, as well as contributions from the academic community of IPB University. In addition, the mosque stands on waqf land donated by the extended family of the late Akhmad Amien Mastur as the waqif, which became the main foundation for the realization of the waqf area.

The Vice Rector of IPB University for Global Connectivity, Cooperation, and Alumni, Prof Iskandar Z Siregar, expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to the construction of the Al-Amin Waqf Mosque.

“We appreciate all parties who have contributed. This is a tangible manifestation of collaboration, not only in physical development, but also in delivering benefits to the wider community,” he said.

He added that the existence of this mosque is expected not only to function as a place of worship, but also to become a center for innovation, community empowerment, and the dissemination of IPB University’s technology in the surrounding campus area.

“Its strategic location with a waqf land area of around 1,3 hectares provides great potential to be developed as a center of excellence. Various existing innovations can be replicated to improve the knowledge and skills of the community,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Waqf and Social Fund Unit of IPB University, Prof Alla Asmara, explained that the Al-Amin Waqf Mosque will be developed as part of an Integrated Agricultural Waqf Area. He hopes its presence can become a node for community economic development.

“This area will be optimized through various productive activities such as livestock and agriculture, which are expected to support the mosque’s operations while also improving the welfare of the surrounding community,” he explained.

Although the main building has been completed, the development of mosque facilities is still ongoing. “We open opportunities for the public to participate through waqf, infaq, and sadaqah to complete the needs of facilities and infrastructure,” he added.

On the same occasion, a representative of the waqif’s family from the extended family of the late Akhmad Amien Mastur, Akhmad Mirza, expressed gratitude for the completion of the mosque construction and appreciation for the support of all parties.

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all parties, especially the IPB waqf team and BPKH. Without this collaboration, the construction of the mosque would not have been realized properly,” he said.

He also emphasized that the waqf in the form of land and the mosque building is fully entrusted for the purposes of worship, da’wah, and the benefit of the ummah.

“This waqf is entrusted to be utilized as best as possible. Our hope is that this mosque can be maintained, cared for, and prospered by the community,” he hoped. (AS) (IAAS/AS)
