IPB University Receives Most Funding for 2026 Multi-Year Research Program, with 161 Proposals Approved for Funding
IPB University has once again achieved a strategic milestone in the field of national research. A total of 161 research proposals from IPB University have been approved for funding under the 2026 Multi-Year Research Program, Research and Community Service Information Base (BIMA) scheme.
This position places IPB University as the university with the highest number of advanced research proposals nationally funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek).
The Rector of IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, expressed his appreciation for the achievements of researchers who have successfully maintained the quality of their research to obtain continued funding.
According to him, this success demonstrates IPB University’s increasingly strong and competitive research capacity at the national level. This success is proof of the commitment and consistency of the IPB University academic community in strengthening a research ecosystem that is excellent, innovative, and effective.
“IPB University has successfully secured 161 research proposals that have passed the funding for the Ministry of Education and Culture’s BIMA Research Program for the 2026 academic year and ranks at the top nationally in terms of the number of funded follow-up research proposals,” said Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet.
He added that this achievement is clear evidence of the commitment and dedication of IPB University researchers in producing excellent and innovative research. In addition, this success also reflects the institution’s consistency in encouraging research that can have a broad impact on society.
Dr Alim hopes that this success will further motivate researchers to continue producing quality research that contributes to solutions for various development challenges.
