Not many people see her, but almost all lecturers and students at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences feel the impact of her presence. Desi Karlina, a laboratory assistant at the Pharmacy Laboratory, plays an important role in ensuring that practical work and research run smoothly. She is responsible for everything from cleaning the room, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment, to ensuring that all research materials are readily available. Desi’s role is essential in ensuring that research and learning proceed smoothly every day.
