SOULTalk #Series1: Strengthening Leadership Integrity and Character at the Beginning of the Year
Starting 2026 with a spirit of reflection and character building, the Institute of Leadership and Executive Education (LKPE), IPB University, successfully held SOULTalk #Series1.
This program served as an inspiring dialogue space that highlighted the values of integrity, leadership, and moral responsibility in the workplace.
Chair of LKPE, Dr Naufal Mahfudz, as a guest speaker, emphasized that integrity is not just a slogan, but a personal commitment that must be consistently realized in every role and responsibility.
“Integrity is the courage to remain honest, responsible, and consistent with values, even when no one is watching. It is from this integrity that trust grows and leadership gains moral legitimacy,” said Dr Naufal in the event hosted by Dr Willy Bachtiar.
Integrity, he continued, is not merely a normative concept, but a foundation of character that must be lived out in every role, whether as an individual, a professional, or a leader.
“Integrity based leadership is reflected in the consistency between values, words, and actions, as well as the courage to take responsibility in various situations,” he said. Integrity, he said, is the main capital in building trust and a healthy and sustainable organizational culture.
In his presentation, Dr Naufal emphasized that SOULTalk is designed to touch the deepest dimensions of humanity—the soul, values, and meaning—as sources of energy in fulfilling one’s role in life and profession.
As the host, Dr Willy Bachtiar guided the dialogue in a communicative and inspiring manner, ensuring that SOULTalk is not only a forum for sharing ideas but also a space for self-reflection. SOULTalk will continue to be developed as a platform for learning values and character, presenting inspiring and relevant dialogues addressing the challenges of leadership in the present and future.
