IPB University Strengthens Leadership Capacity of Student Organization Leaders
The Directorate of Student Affairs at IPB University held an Intermediate Level Student Management Skills Training (LKMM) attended by 168 student organization leaders in 2026.
This program is part of efforts to strengthen student leadership capacity, which is carried out in stages through briefing sessions and leadership retreats.
The student organization leaders received briefings ranging from an introduction to strategic units within IPB University, the digitization of student organization management systems, administrative governance and organizational risk management, to strengthening student organization branding.
The training materials are designed to build a comprehensive understanding of professional organization management, adaptability to digital developments, and the ability to build a positive image for student organizations.
During the retreat sessions, participants are encouraged to strengthen leadership values, build awareness of their roles as organizational leaders, and improve communication, collaboration, and synergy.
The Director of Student Affairs at IPB University stated that the Intermediate Level LKMM is an important part of student leadership development.
“The leader of a student organization plays a strategic role in determining the direction, governance, and image of the organization. Through the Intermediate Level LKMM, students are equipped with an understanding of the system, professional organization management, utilization of digitalization, and strengthening of the student organization’s branding as part of the IPB University student ecosystem,” he said.
Through this series of training and retreats, IPB University hopes that student organization leaders will be able to perform their roles optimally, manage organizations accountably, and contribute to creating a disciplined, collaborative, and sustainable student environment. (*/Rz)(IAAS/RWA)
