Developing a LIC Based Education System, IPB University Faculty of Medicine and Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital Strengthen Cooperation
The Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University received a visit from Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital, Sukabumi (1/14), as part of efforts to follow up on and strengthen cooperation between the two institutions. This activity marks an important milestone in the development of collaboration in the fields of education and health services.
The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University and Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital took place in the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Meeting Room, AM Satari Building, Dramaga Campus. This signing symbolized a shared commitment to strengthening synergy between medical education institutions and regional hospitals as vehicles for clinical education.
During the discussion session, both parties explored various potential areas of collaboration, including education, research, community service, and efforts to improve the quality of human resources in the health sector.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University, Dr dr Ivan Rizal Sini, GDRM, MMIS, FRANZCOG, SpOG, explained that the Faculty of Medicine (FK) has developed a Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) based education system that emphasizes continuous and integrated clinical learning.
He hopes that this collaboration will bring a breath of fresh air to the development of medical education at partner hospitals. “This represents progress in scientific advancement and educational technology. We hope that the LIC system will be accepted and develop well at Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital,” he said.
Following the signing of the cooperation agreement, the agenda continued with a tour of various educational facilities and learning resources at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University. Representatives from Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital expressed their readiness and optimism regarding the implementation of the LIC system in collaboration with the Medicine (FK) IPB University.
One of the internal medicine specialists at Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital, dr Fadli Aditya Rizky, SpPD, FINASIM, noted that the LIC learning system and educational facilities at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University, are in line with the work culture at Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital. “Looking at the concept offered by the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University, I think it is very suitable for the situation and culture at Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital,” he said.
Through this collaboration, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) IPB University, and Jampangkulon Regional General Hospital aim to jointly improve the quality of medical education while making a tangible contribution to improving public health services. (*/Rz) (IAAS/FHD)
