Amidst increasingly fierce competition in the job market, the story of a student who was able to complete his studies with a near-perfect grade point average (GPA) is always inspiring. That is the experience of Rizky Nabil Andhika, the top graduate of IPB University who was awarded his degree on December 10, 2025, at Graha Widya Wisuda, IPB Dramaga Campus.

With a GPA of 3,95, Rizky was immediately hired by one of the state owned enterprises (BUMN). “Currently, I work as a Management Trainee in Wholesale Banking at a BUMM bank. I chose this path to strengthen my professional competencies and contribute to the national financial sector,” he explained.

Rizky considers himself fortunate to have pursued his education at IPB University’s School of Business. He cited the competitive learning environment, practical methodologies, and diverse backgrounds of his fellow students as factors that shaped his professional foundation.

Not only that, his college journey was also full of challenges. “The high academic demands, organizational dynamics, and various projects that had to be completed simultaneously built my discipline, endurance, and strategic thinking skills,” he said.

He chose IPB University’s School of Business because of his interest in understanding management, business, and analytics in depth. He wanted to learn how decision-making can drive sustainable performance and create value for society.

Rizky’s learning experience was further enriched when he received an Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) scholarship to study at Boston University. “That experience broadened my global perspective on management, innovation, and sustainability,” he said. He also took an Independent Study in Business Intelligence at Jobhun Academy to strengthen his analytical skills.

In addition to being academically strong, Rizky is active in various student organizations such as the IPB Model United Nations (MUN) Club, IPB Outsco, the Student Representative Council (DPM), the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI PT) IPB, and a number of campus committees. He also gained professional experience through internships at SD Guthrie Indonesia, Levner Consulting, and the Kedaireka project at PT Dharmasraya Sawit Lestari.

Outside of academics, Rizky is also involved in social activities such as the Village Teaching Movement, SB Bergerak, and IPB Goes to School. “I want to continue contributing to economic development, business innovation, and the empowerment of Indonesia’s younger generation,” he added.

Rizky’s story demonstrates that holistic experiences—combining academics, organizations, internships, and volunteering—can produce graduates who are ready to contribute to the workforce and society. This achievement reflects the quality of IPB University’s education in producing competent, adaptive, and highly competitive young talents. (dh) (IAAS/FMT)
