The second dimension is inclusivity. “We must broaden access without discrimination, be more socially welcoming, and strengthen multi-stakeholder engagement,” he added.
He emphasized relevance as the third dimension. “Every innovation and research outcome must be relevant to the government’s national Astacita programs, relevant to agromaritime as IPB University’s core competence, and aligned with the needs of society and industry,” he said.
The fourth dimension is adaptability to the changing times. “Universities, including IPB, must be adaptive, especially because we are in the era of AI. We must push for future skill sets. I hope our lecturers, staff, and students can become global leaders,” he added.
Lastly, he underlined the importance of sustainable impact. “Universities must deliver real impact. The tagline is ‘impactful campus’. IPB University must provide solutions to societal issues, support industries, and align with achieving excellent SDGs and ESG outcomes,” he concluded.
The election of Dr Alim Setiawan as Interim Rector reflects IPB University’s commitment to maintaining organizational governance continuity and strengthening the quality of its tri dharma missions.
