IPB University Wins Three Communication Awards at the 2025 Public Relations Excellence Awards (PREA)

IPB University won three awards in the field of communication at the 2025 Public Relations Excellence Awards (PREA). The awards were received by the Director of Cooperation, Communication, and Marketing at IPB University, Dr Alfian Helmi, at the Indonesian Public Relations Convention (KHI) in Surabaya on Saturday (12/13).

KHI is an annual grand event organized by the Indonesian Public Relations Association (Perhumas). With the theme “Moving Forward Together for Indonesia,” this forum brings together public relations practitioners from across Indonesia to share ideas, best practices, and respond to current public relations challenges.

At the KHI event, IPB University won the following Public Relations Excellence Awards (PREA):

  • First Place in the Corporate Public Relations Program Category: “IPB University Ambassadors: One Year of Service, A Lifetime of Inspiration”
  • First Place in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Category, Program “Agribusiness Technology Park: Home of Creation for Sustainability Solutions”
  • Second Place in the Digital PR Program Category: “Come Join IPB Vocational IPB Opens Opportunities, Achieve Brilliant Goals”

The 2025 PREA competition was participated in by public relations institutions from various backgrounds, including government public relations, corporations, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), and university public relations in Indonesia.

The Rector of IPB University, Dr Alim Setiawan Slamet, expressed his appreciation for this award. “Congratulations and thank you to the entire Directorate of Cooperation, Communication, and Marketing team for continuously striving to improve communication performance, always providing the best information, and strengthening the reputation of IPB University in the public eye,” continued Dr Alim.

Furthermore, the Rector expressed his hope that “this achievement can serve as a motivation to further improve performance in the field of communication.” The Rector also emphasized that public relations is not about image-building, but about communicating achievements.

Director of Cooperation, Communication, and Marketing at IPB University, Dr Alfian Helmi, said that this award was thanks to the support and cooperation of various work units at IPB University. Regarding participation in various communication program competitions, Dr Helmi said, “Going forward, this award will serve as new energy for us to continue innovating, delivering communication that is more adaptive, data-driven, inclusive, and relevant to future challenges.
