Vigorously Revitalizing Business Incubators, STP IPB University and 6 Startups Receive AIBI Award
Science and Techno Park (STP) IPB University received an award as a Leading Business Incubator from the Association of Indonesian Business Incubators (AIBI). The award was presented at the AABI-IBI Summit 2025 International Seminar, which was attended by business incubators from all over Indonesia and 26 countries in Asia (10/15-16) in Solo.
Regarding this achievement, the Chairperson of the IPB University’s Science and Technology Park (LKST), Prof Erika B Laconi, expressed her hopes.
“Hopefully, we will always make continuous improvements in quality to foster the growth of resilient startups based on innovation and creativity,” she said after receiving the award, which was presented directly by the Chair of the Association of Asia Business Incubator (AABI), Catur Sugiarto, SE, MSM, MRech, PhD, CDMP.
Deva Primadia Almada, SPi, MSi, Assistant for Business Incubation, who was also present, said, “Alhamdulillah, STP IPB University received an award as a Leading Business Incubator from AIBI. Thank you, AIBI. Hopefully, this award can further increase our enthusiasm and performance to produce innovative, resilient, and sustainable startups,” he said.
Not only STP IPB University, but six startups under the guidance of IPB University also received awards. The startups Bensfarm, SanGreat, WHI, and Sugeng Jaya received awards as Leading Startups. Meanwhile, the awards for Developing Startups were given to Sanfood and Planteria.
“These six startups are alumni of IPB University with interdisciplinary teams from various faculties/schools,” added Deva.
AIBI is an organization founded in 1996 with the aim of supporting and maintaining the entrepreneurial and startup ecosystem in Indonesia. Currently, AIBI has more than 180 members consisting of business incubators from various sectors, including higher education, the private sector, and the government.
AIBI plays a crucial role in supporting over 12.000 startups across Indonesia, providing mentorship and the necessary resources for startup growth. (IAAS/KQA)
