IPB Awarding 2025: Rector Emphasizes Three Keys to Success for Innovators
IPB University reaffirmed its tradition of annual appreciation through the IPB Awarding 2025 event held at the Andi Hakim Nasoetion (AHN) Auditorium, Dramaga Campus, on Tuesday (10/1).
This year, IPB University presented awards to lecturers, educational staff, students, work units, and student organizations that have excelled in the fields of education, research, innovation, and community service.
In his speech, IPB University Rector Prof Arif Satria delivered a number of messages. “Alhamdulillah, today we are witnessing the birth of innovators who will become role models. Hopefully, this award will be beneficial, spur achievements, and give birth to new works that are more meaningful,” said Prof Arif.
He emphasized that innovation only comes from individuals who are inspiring, innovative, and creative. According to him, innovation is not merely about producing products, but also about creating value that benefits society, companies, and the nation.
“Innovative people are those who are able to imagine the future, have imagination, and dare to take opportunities. Creativity and vision are important foundations in creating impactful innovation,” he explained.
Furthermore, the key to every innovation is a spirit of continuous learning and perseverance (grit). “There are no instant results. Everything requires a process, hard work, and consistency. This is what distinguishes successful people from others,” he added.
Prof Arif concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of maintaining IPB University’s reputation as a campus of innovation. “IPB is not only ours, but also the pride of the nation. Let us nurture this spirit of innovation so that IPB continues to be at the forefront in responding to the challenges of Indonesia and the world,” he concluded.
