Himaiko IPB University Forms Sauyunan Family Community in Citaringgul Village

The Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) Team from the Family and Consumer Sciences Student Association (Himaiko) of IPB University formed the “Sauyunan Family” community in Citaringgul Village, Babakan Madang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, on Sunday (10/5).

This activity is part of the program “Empowering Dual Earner Families to Improve Family Resilience with a Strength-Based Approach (SBA)”. The program aims to enhance family resilience, especially for dual earner families or husband-wife pairs who both work, through a strength-based approach.

The formation of the community was divided into five corners, namely Sariksa, Didik, Deudeuh, Reket, and Rahayu. Each corner established a simple management structure consisting of a chairperson, secretary, and treasurer.

The event took place warmly with active participation from residents. After forming the management structure, the activities continued with entertainment and communal dining as a means to strengthen togetherness.

A representative of the Himaiko IPB University team, Halina Amalia Safitri, explained that the uniqueness of the Sauyunan program lies in its focus on developing the human resources of families. Through SBA, families are encouraged to discover their potential and strengths so they are able to face the challenges of modern life.

“Through Sauyunan Family, we hope to create a sustainable support ecosystem for families in Citaringgul Village, as well as become a family empowerment model that can be replicated in other areas,” said Amalia.

This program, she continued, is in line with IPB University’s commitment to carrying out the three pillars of higher education (tridarma perguruan tinggi), particularly community service, by encouraging innovations that have a real impact on society. (*/Rz) (IAAS/KMR)
