The Forest Products Department, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University welcomed a guest lecturer from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS), Poland, Dr Paweł Czarniak, as part of the Erasmus Mobility 2025 program.

During the five-day program, Dr Paweł Czarniak lectured to students of the Forest Products Technology (THH) Undergraduate Program for a total of 8 hours, distributed across three different courses.

He was a visiting lecturer in three courses, namely Wood Physics, Biomass Energy, and Wood Processing. The presence of this guest lecturer provided an opportunity for students to broaden their academic knowledge and enrich their global perspective in the field of forest product processing.

In addition to the academic aspect, the Erasmus Mobility program also served as an important means for the exchange of experiences and the development of cooperation networks between the two institutions in the field of higher education and research.

The event concluded with the signing of an Implementation Arrangement between the Chairperson of the Forest Products Department, Dr Istie Sekartining Rahayu, and Dr Paweł Czarniak. This signing marks an important milestone in strengthening bilateral collaboration, which includes academic capacity building, joint research, and faculty and student mobility.

Dr Istie expressed her deep appreciation for the event and thanked all parties who contributed to its success.

“International cooperation such as Erasmus Mobility is expected to provide sustainable benefits, both in improving the quality of education and in its contribution to the development of science in the field of forest products,” she said. (*/Rz) (IAAS/KQA)
