The IPB University Science and Technology Area Institute (LKST) held a Startup Bootcamp program entitled “Sustainable Scale Up: Grow Fast, Grow Right” at the IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor. This event lasted for two days (8/28-30).
This program is aimed at helping startup entrepreneurs to scale up their businesses sustainably and make a real impact on society. A total of 18 selected startup CEOs participated in this event and will receive intensive mentoring from LKST IPB University.
Vice Chairmam of LKST for Business Incubation and Industry Partnerships, Prof Rokhani Hasbullah, said that startups fostered by IPB University’s Science Techno Park (STP) are expected to contribute to the nation. “Every activity must have as much impact as possible on society,” he said.
This incubation program is divided into eight schemes, including pre-acceleration and acceleration stages. Pre-acceleration focuses on product and business model development, while acceleration aims to encourage business growth and open up investment opportunities.
“This program is expected to increase the turnover, number of employees, and business partners of participating startups, thereby providing a significant impact on society,” added Prof Rokhani.
LKST IPB University, he continued, will also conduct regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure the program’s effectiveness and measure its actual impact.
Speakers at the event included Erry P Ismali, a Business and Leadership Coach at Asia Coach Indonesia, who discussed the topic “Building the Character and Mindset of a Successful Entrepreneur (Becoming a Business Owner Mastery),” and Laela S Royani, Project Manager of the Promoting Research and Innovation through Modern and Efficient Science and Techno Park (PRIMESTeP) program.
